Working Experience
Nilufer Oral has extensive experience in international law having served as a legal advisor to the Turkish Foreign Ministry since 1998 on issues concering law of the sea, energy and climate change. As counsel for Aybay & Aybay she represented large foreign companies and goverments in transactional and maritime matters. Dr. Oral also has experience in US Courts and practiced criminal law for a number of years in Santa. Clara California before moving to Istanbul. She is member of the Law Faculty of Istanbul Bilgi University. She was elected as Councillor to the IUCN Council (2012-2016). She has published extensively internationally and spoken at numerous international conferences.
